(MORGAN HILL, CA) — Nirmal Nair, CEO and Founder of Sempera Organics, a leading mushroom ingredient expert, has announced the launch of “No Fungi, No Future” podcast series, available on Spotify and iTunes.
According to Nair, the podcast — will cover a multitude of wide-ranging subjects all with fungi (mushrooms) as the nucleus. Topics will span cultural references, history of use, new studies and current science, myth-busting, food and beverage uses, trends in consumer health habits and more. “No Fungi, No Future” explores the fascinating world of fungi and mycelium and their incredible impact on our lives and the planet. It will be in both short and long formats.
“We intend to present captivating stories, expert insights and the untold wonders of fungi, which are truly remarkable organisms — not animals, yet not plants,” Nair said. “We celebrate the profound impact of the mushroom kingdom on our past, present and most importantly, our future.”
The inaugural podcast is now up, and features a 13-minute conversation with mycologist Dennis Desjardin, PhD, who, incidentally, just received the prestigious Distinguished Mycologist Award at the Mycological Society of America’s annual meeting.
Nair added, “Sempera Organics is the first mushroom-focused ingredient supplier to create and host a podcast, and we look forward to using it to grow knowledge about and appreciation for all things fungi.”
